Existing induction
melting equipment, together with plant from the newly
acquired co-reduction process, are consolidated into
a new purpose-built facility in Birkenhead, North-West
England. |

Transfer of manufacturing
plant, analytical laboratory and expertise from the
now closed Johnson Matthey, Rare Earth Products business.
Newly commissioned plant provides a significant expansion
to a capacity of around 1000 tonnes of alloys per
year. |

LCM successfully
gains a Queens Award for Enterprise (International
Trade) in recognition of outstanding export performance. |

Company separated from
the Meldform Metals Group to be established as a
wholly autonomous business unit. |
